STUDIO International Theatre Festival - Meeting of Theatre Schools

Starting from 2008, the University of Arts in Târgu Mureș organizes the STUDIO International Theater Festival - Meeting of Theater Schools.
After the second edition, the festival took a break for several years and was resumed in 2017. Since then it has become a tradition that in the last week of November, theater schools from the country and from several corners of the world gather in Târgu Mureș for a week full of shows, workshops, exhibitions, concerts and other unique events every year. With each edition, the duration of the festival increases with the increase in the number of invited universities, participants and activities.

2024 brings the tenth edition of the festival, that will take place between November 15th-24th, 2024.

Registration at the International Studio Festival is exclusively for art universities from all over the world. 

The festival director is Professor Oana Leahu PhD, dean of the Romanian Faculty of Arts.
