6th Edition - 2020

The sixth edition of the Studio International Festival - Meeting of Theater Schools took place between November 6 - 22, 2020. Although it was not possible to organize it under the conditions to which the audience was accustomed until that moment, the University of Arts in Târgu Mureș decided not to give up at the traditional university theater festival that it organizes annually, at the end of November. Thus, this year's edition took place exclusively online.

Throughout the month of November 2020, there were online broadcasts of the performances of the 14 theater universities in the country and in Europe, invited to this edition: National University of Theater and Cinematographic Art "I.L. Caragiale" (Bucharest), Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts (Chisinau - Republic of Moldova), "Babeş-Bolyai" University (Cluj-Napoca), "George Enescu" University of Arts (Iasi), University of Craiova (Craiova) , "Lucian Blaga" University (Sibiu), National University of Theatre, Film and Television "I. K. Karpenko-Kary" - Kyiv (Ukraine), Academy of Arts in Novi-Sad (Serbia), University of Arts in Belgrade (Serbia), University of Kaposvár (Hungary), Performing Arts Studio Scotland in Edinburgh (Scotland), Academy international performing arts in Versailles (France), the National Institute of Art in Novosibirsk (Russia) and the University of Arts in Târgu Mureș (Romania).

The performances were broadcast on the university's facebook pages: facebook.com/studiofestival.ms, facebook.com/uatmures, facebook.com/teatrustudio.

Also, between November 23-29, 2020, there were 22 online workshops supported by personalities in the field, such as: Declan Donnellan, Carlo Bosso, Gigi Căciuleanu, Elena Serra, Julien Javions, Florin Kevorkian, Jakob Wehrmann, Istvan Simon, Aleksandar Ivanovski, Stefano Perocco, Lenard Petit, Sergei Tcherkassi, John Lewandowski, Rajiv Joseph, Irina Niculescu, Szabolcs Kisspal, Adela Moldovan, Gelu Badea, Cristi Niculescu, Dan Basu, Lucian Matei and Constantin Tovarnițchi.

In addition to performances and workshops, this year's edition of the International Studio Festival also featured 2 online conferences held by Radu Jude and Raluca Rădulescu, book launches by Angela Precup and Irina Ionescu and a live video-mapping show at the Studio Theater building 2.1.
