5th Edition - 2019

This year's edition started with a research workshop on new performative forms led by one of the most important contemporary theater theorists, Patrice Pavis, between November 13-15, 2019.

On November 16, 2019, the University of Arts in Târgu Mureș had the honor of having the members of the Puppet's Lab company from Bulgaria as guests, who presented on the stage of the Studio Theater the multi-award winning show at international festivals in several countries: "I, Sisyphus ".

Between November 17-24, 2019, on the stage of the Studio Theater and the Studio 2.1 Theater, the performative section of the "Studio" International Theater Festival took place - the meeting of theater schools, in which 14 theater universities from the country and abroad participated: National University of Theater and Cinematography "I.L. Caragiale" (Bucharest), Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts (Chisinau - Republic of Moldova), "Babeş-Bolyai" University (Cluj-Napoca), Lower Danube University in Galați (Galați), "George Enescu" University of Arts (Iasi), Lucian Blaga University (Sibiu), Kaposvár University (Hungary), Silvio d Amico National Academy of Dramatic Art (Rome – Italy), Budapest Academy of Theatre, Film and Art (Budapest – Hungary), Academy of Theater and Film Athanor (Passau – Germany), Academy of Dramatic Art Zagreb (Zagreb – Croatia), University of South Wales (Cardiff – UK), National University of Theatre, Film and Television I. K. KARPENKO-KARY (Kyiv – Ukraine), and University of Arts from Târgu Mureș (Târgu Mureș),

Also, during the festival, workshops were held by: Andrei Popov, Andreea Belu, Anatoli Ktac, Elena Purea, Irina Niculescu, John Lewandowski, Aleksander Ivanovski, Lucian Matei, Éva Patkó, Geo Dinescu, Marin Fagu, Diana Fufezan, Mihaela Sîrbu, Joost Vrouenraets, MIki Braniște, Matthew Davies, Oleg Mardari, Radu Horghidan, Popov Leonid, Mykhail Urytskyi, Edith Buttingsrud Pedersen, Monica Vannucchi.

In addition to performances and workshops, this year's edition of the International Studio Festival had a rich range of events: book launches, a concert by Cari Tibor, a photo and multimedia exhibition and other surprises.
