4th Edition - 2018
Between November 18-25, 2018, the University of Arts in Târgu-Mureș organized, on the stage of the Studio Theater and the Studio 2.1 Theater, the International Studio Festival 2018 - Meeting of Theater Schools, a festival attended by ten theater universities from the country and from abroad: National University of Theater and Cinematography "I.L. Caragiale" (Bucharest), Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts (Chisinau - Republic of Moldova), "Babeş-Bolyai" University (Cluj-Napoca), Ovidius University of Constanța (Constanța), University of Craiova (Craiova), University of Arts "George Enescu" (Iasi), Western University (Timişoara) Athanor Academy of Theater and Film in Passau (Germany), Novi Sad Academy of Arts (Serbia), Faculty of Dramatic Art Belgrade (Serbia), Bratislava Academy of Arts ( Slovakia), the Academy of Dramatic Art of the University of Zagreb (Croatia) and the University of Arts in Târgu-Mureș (Târgu-Mureș).
Also, during the festival there were workshops supported by personalities in the field, such as: Andreea Belu, Lucian Matei, Gelu Badea, Oana-Cristea Grigorescu, Andrei Popov, Oleg Mardari, Ioan Ardelean, Decebal Marin, Daniela Cojan, Florin Vidamski, Aleksander Ivanovski, Marija Milenković, Carolina Mano.
On November 21, 2018, starting at 12:00, a conference was held in the Hall of Studio theatre, followed by a debate, with the theme "100 years of Theater Studies in Romania. What does the present tell us, What do we know about the future?", supported by Prof. Univ. Dr. Marian Popescu.
In addition to performances and workshops, this year's edition of the International Studio Festival had a rich range of events: book launches, two concerts: Ada Milea and Vizi Imre, graduates of UAT, a video-mapping demonstration on the university building and other surprises.
