2008 

Between December 9-11, the University of Theater Arts organized on the stage of the Studio Theatre, the first edition of the Studio Festival, a festival in which 6 theater universities from the country and abroad participated:
National University of Theater and Cinematography "I.L. Caragiale" (Bucharest), Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts (Chisinau - Republic of Moldova), "Babes-Bolyai" University (Cluj-Napoca), "George Enescu" University of Arts ( Iasi), University of Theater Arts (Târgu-Mureș) University of Kaposvar, Faculty of Arts (Hungary).

2010

Between April 21-25, 2010, the University of Arts organized, at the Studio Theatre, the second edition of the Studio Festival, a festival in which seven theater universities from the country participated: the National University of Theater and Cinematography "I.L. Caragiale" Bucharest, "Babeş-Bolyai" University - Cluj, Faculty of Theater and Television, University of Craiova - Department of Theater Arts, "Dunărea de Jos" University Galați, George Enescu University of Arts Iași, "Lucian Blaga" University - Faculty of Letters and Arts – Theater Arts Department, Sibiu, Tîrgu-Mureș University of Arts.

In addition to the performances presented by the seven universities, within the Studio Festival 2010, there were book launches (books by ArtSpect Publishing House), film viewings, the launch of Scena.ro magazine - in the presence of editor-in-chief Cristina Modreanu and the editorial team .

2017

Between November 20-26, 2017, the University of Arts in Târgu Mureș organized, on the stage of the Studio Theater and the Studio 2.1 Theater, the II edition of the International Studio Festival - the meeting of theater schools, a festival in which ten universities participated theater from the country and abroad: National University of Theater and Cinematography "I.L. Caragiale" (Bucharest), Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts (Chisinau - Republic of Moldova), "Babeş-Bolyai" University (Cluj-Napoca), Ovidius University of Constanța (Constanța), University of Craiova (Craiova), University of Arts "George Enescu" (Iasi), Kaposvár University (Hungary), Rutgens University (New Jersey – USA), Lucian Blaga University (Sibiu) and Târgu-Mureş University of Arts (Târgu-Mureş).
Also, during the festival, workshops were held by: Andreea Belu, Lucian Matei, Ianoș Petrașcu, Éva Patkó, Aura Corbeanu, Daniela Cojan, Florin Paraschivu, Anca Bradu, Adriana Ausch-Simmel, Aleksander Ivanovski, Scott Johnston, Lukas Sander , Kitty Carey.
In addition to performances and workshops, the third edition of the International Studio Festival included: book releases, a musical meeting with A.G. Weinberger, a video-mapping demonstration on the university building and other surprises.

2018

Between November 18-25, 2018, the University of Arts in Târgu-Mureș organized, on the stage of the Studio Theater and the Studio 2.1 Theater, the International Studio Festival 2018 - Meeting of Theater Schools, a festival attended by ten theater universities from the country and from abroad: National University of Theater and Cinematography "I.L. Caragiale" (Bucharest), Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts (Chisinau - Republic of Moldova), "Babeş-Bolyai" University (Cluj-Napoca), Ovidius University of Constanța (Constanța), University of Craiova (Craiova), University of Arts "George Enescu" (Iasi), Western University (Timişoara) Athanor Academy of Theater and Film in Passau (Germany), Novi Sad Academy of Arts (Serbia), Faculty of Dramatic Art Belgrade (Serbia), Bratislava Academy of Arts ( Slovakia), the Academy of Dramatic Art of the University of Zagreb (Croatia) and the University of Arts in Târgu-Mureș (Târgu-Mureș).

Also, during the festival there were workshops supported by personalities in the field, such as: Andreea Belu, Lucian Matei, Gelu Badea, Oana-Cristea Grigorescu, Andrei Popov, Oleg Mardari, Ioan Ardelean, Decebal Marin, Daniela Cojan, Florin Vidamski, Aleksander Ivanovski, Marija Milenković, Carolina Mano.

On November 21, 2018, starting at 12:00, a conference was held in the Hall of Studio theatre, followed by a debate, with the theme "100 years of Theater Studies in Romania. What does the present tell us, What do we know about the future?", supported by Prof. Univ. Dr. Marian Popescu.

In addition to performances and workshops, this year's edition of the International Studio Festival had a rich range of events: book launches, two concerts: Ada Milea and Vizi Imre, graduates of UAT, a video-mapping demonstration on the university building and other surprises.

2019

This year's edition started with a research workshop on new performative forms led by one of the most important contemporary theater theorists, Patrice Pavis, between November 13-15, 2019.

On November 16, 2019, the University of Arts in Târgu Mureș had the honor of having the members of the Puppet's Lab company from Bulgaria as guests, who presented on the stage of the Studio Theater the multi-award winning show at international festivals in several countries: "I, Sisyphus ".

Between November 17-24, 2019, on the stage of the Studio Theater and the Studio 2.1 Theater, the performative section of the "Studio" International Theater Festival took place - the meeting of theater schools, in which 14 theater universities from the country and abroad participated: National University of Theater and Cinematography "I.L. 2020

The sixth edition of the Studio International Festival - Meeting of Theater Schools took place between November 6 - 22, 2020. Although it was not possible to organize it under the conditions to which the audience was accustomed until that moment, the University of Arts in Târgu Mureș decided not to give up at the traditional university theater festival that it organizes annually, at the end of November. Thus, this year's edition took place exclusively online.

Throughout the month of November 2020, there were online broadcasts of the performances of the 14 theater universities in the country and in Europe, invited to this edition: National University of Theater and Cinematographic Art "I.L. Caragiale" (Bucharest), Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts (Chisinau - Republic of Moldova), "Babeş-Bolyai" University (Cluj-Napoca), "George Enescu" University of Arts (Iasi), University of Craiova (Craiova) , "Lucian Blaga" University (Sibiu), National University of Theatre, Film and Television "I. K. Karpenko-Kary" - Kyiv (Ukraine), Academy of Arts in Novi-Sad (Serbia), University of Arts in Belgrade (Serbia), University of Kaposvár (Hungary), Performing Arts Studio Scotland in Edinburgh (Scotland), Academy international performing arts in Versailles (France), the National Institute of Art in Novosibirsk (Russia) and the University of Arts in Târgu Mureș (Romania).

The performances were broadcast on the university's facebook pages: facebook.com/studiofestival.ms, facebook.com/uatmures, facebook.com/teatrustudio.

Also, between November 23-29, 2020, there were 22 online workshops supported by personalities in the field, such as: Declan Donnellan, Carlo Bosso, Gigi Căciuleanu, Elena Serra, Julien Javions, Florin Kevorkian, Jakob Wehrmann, Istvan Simon, Aleksandar Ivanovski, Stefano Perocco, Lenard Petit, Sergei Tcherkassi, John Lewandowski, Rajiv Joseph, Irina Niculescu, Szabolcs Kisspal, Adela Moldovan, Gelu Badea, Cristi Niculescu, Dan Basu, Lucian Matei and Constantin Tovarnițchi.

In addition to performances and workshops, this year's edition of the International Studio Festival also featured 2 online conferences held by Radu Jude and Raluca Rădulescu, book launches by Angela Precup and Irina Ionescu and a live video-mapping show at the Studio Theater building 2.1.

Project carried out with the financing of the Town Hall of Târgu Mureș based on the contest of cultural projects.

2021

The 7th edition of the Studio Festival took place between November 27 - December 4, 2021. Although the desire of the organizers was to return to the physical format, this was not entirely possible, so the festival took place in a hybrid mode (physical and online).
