Since 2008, the University of Arts in Târgu Mureș organizes the STUDIO International Theater Festival - Meeting of Theater Schools.
After the second edition, the festival took a break for several years and resumed in 2017. Since then it has become a tradition that in the last week of November, theater schools from the country and from several corners of the world gather in Târgu Mureș for a week full of shows, workshops, exhibitions, concerts and other unique events every year. With each edition, the duration of the festival increased as the number of invited universities, participants and activities is larger and more diverse.
The year 2022 brings the eighth edition of the festival between November 20-28, 2022.
